A lot of the ideas that we originally brainstormed for our video have been discarded as our hopes were to perform a rap song. This provided us with several problems as not only would some of the themes involved with the genre promote concern from the exam board but it would also be hard to feature all of the specifications required for the video for example, accurate lip syncing and instruments playing the correct notes. One of the main concerns would be a featuring of illicit substances and weaponry as demonstrated in the song "I'm in love with the coco" by O.T. Genasis.
Songs like this in the rap genre often lack a demonstration of instruments being played in their videos as opposed to the conventions of rock music. With this in mind we started to look at different songs inside the genre of rock and came across a few songs that seemed more natural to feature instruments being played.
